Baseball Team Lists Stadium For Rent on AirBnb

Most sports fans are looking forward to live sports. Last week I talked about how I've resorted to eSports which is something I didn't know existed before the pandemic.

I have also watched some Korean Baseball and Nascar has the Coca-Cola 600 this evening. It is unreal to me that there won't be any baseball on Memorial Day.

From the looks of the recent negotiations between the owners and the players of Major League Baseball it doesn't look like the games will return anytime soon.

You can however, throw down $1500 and rent a stadium on AirBNB.

Now before you pack your bags and look up the address of Yankees Stadium or Minute Maid Park, you should know the $1500 is per night. The stadium is the home of the Minnesota Twins Double-A team the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

According to @morningbrew you'll get access to the newly renovated clubhouse, batting cage, and the baseball field. Bats, balls, and helmets provided. The deal also includes a bedroom with ten beds.

The description on the Airbnb website is calling this the Ultimate baseball experience. It's geared towards youth league teams and corporate retreats which would be awesome.

Also mentioned is the fact that this is a great idea for a "birthday bash" or "bachelor party"...seriously?

Ok Wahoos, wait a second, just hold the hell up. Do you mean to tell me your stadium which was just renovated is going to host a random birthday or even worse...a bachelor party?

These are sports fans you know, rowdy, loud, profane, usually drunk, at least this is what I observe each time I dare attend a sporting event in person, and you want to toss them the keys to the stadium?

It sounds cool on paper because they're maybe picturing a certain group of sports fans that just want to have a good time like the PGA. The problem is Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and their crews aren't showing up, it's probably going to be some twenty somethings with their dad's credit card...that's the majority of Airbnb's clientele...good luck with that.
