Just
when the Tiger Woods scandal starts to quite down and fade away someone
or something always seems to drag it back into the headlines. Guess
it's PETA's turn this time. The People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals are searching for an advertiser for a new billboard featuring
Tiger Woods and his recent troubles off the golf course. The billboard
will say, "Too much sex can be a bad thing ... for little tigers too.
Help keep your cats (and dogs) out of trouble: Always spay or neuter!"
Oh and there's a huge picture of Tiger standing next to that statement.
Virginia Fort who's a campaigner for the project said, "It's a fun,
tongue-in-cheek approach. We hope these billboard companies will
understand." When asked about Tiger not endorsing the ad Fort said,
"We're sure Tiger will appreciate our attempt — from a story that's
distracted the world and followed Tiger — to turn it into something
positive for little tigers."
Really? Tiger's not going to endorse that advertisement? I wonder why.
Of course he doesn't want any part of this, the dude doesn't want his
name to appear next to the word sex no matter what it is in reference
to. This is awesome oh and sure Virginia, he's going to appreciate your
attempt about as much as he appreciates the media following his wife and
kids.
PETA is awesome, I can always count on them to go way too far with their
love of animals and blow thing way out of proportion. Look, you love
animals and you're all about animal rights, great that is very
admirable, but please explain to me what this has to do with Tiger Woods
and his skanks errrr I mean waitresses? This is just like PETA isn't
it, taking a good cause and using it for the wrong reasons.
Remember
this is the same PETA who sent a get well soon and by the way you
deserved it message to Roy Horn after he was attacked on stage during a
performance by Montecore the tiger.
I
say leave Tiger the golfer alone and let him do right by his family and
get back on the golf course because despite what my friends believe,
golf and the PGA are suffering without the dude and if you don't believe
me just ask someone who won the Accenture Match Play Championship. If
you knew it was Ian Poulter you suck but chances are you didn't.
