The AFC and NFC Championship games are set...

Well, the NFL Division round is over and we have our AFC and NFC championships games all set. Just like the wild card round there was some surprises and some things I figured were going to happen. My last report I wrote about Bills vs Broncos and the fumbles, interceptions, and alleged blown calls by the referees that ultimately got the Bills head coach whacked.

I wrote a little about the 49ers vs Seahawks game. What I didn't write about was how the 49ers pregame antics might have done more harm than good. San Francisco's out there dancing and celebrating...maybe it was some sort of pregame ritual, maybe it was to show Seattle that they weren't scared and were ready to battle, all I know is it was stupid. Seattle torched the 49ers 41-6...49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan didn't look like he was ready to party after the game.

The Patriots defeated the Texans 28-16. Houston had probably the best defense all year but I knew they would struggle in Foxborough in January...everybody does. That game looked cold on tv, I've been to Boston in January for the Royal Rumble...this is when my wife and I first started dating...to describe the temperature as cold doesn't do it justice, it felt like I was on Pluto. At those extreme temps you're not thinking about the next play, you're thinking about how long before I'm in the locker room slamming some hot cocoa. How else do you explain CJ Stroud forgetting how to be a quarterback?

The Los Angeles Rams at the Chicago Bears was umm interesting I would say. Matthew Stafford and the Rams won in spite of themselves. I mean Stafford didn't throw a touchdown for the first time in 19 games. Chicago and their QB Caleb Williams did throw 2 touchdowns but he also had 3 interceptions. This game came down to who would make the fewest mistakes and the Rams won in overtime.

So we get the Rams vs Seahawks...again...this time for the NFC Championship, and the Patriots vs the Broncos for the AFC Championship. Post season experience is how I would bet at the sportsbooks and that means the Los Angeles Rams vs New England Patriots in the Superbowl if I had to pick...that being said, Seattle and Denver are the hot teams which is why they're both ranked No.1
