NBA team's strip club night draws controversy

Professional sports teams throw promotions all the time. Some are innocent, some are stupid, and some are controversial. Remember last year's 'Let her cook' promotion sponsored by Gatorade. It was intended to empower women but some people found it sexist. Baseball takes the cake in the controversy category. Promotions are done to boost attendance but they're not always well thought out.

The Chicago White Sox held Disco Demolition night where you could get a ticket for 98 cents if you brought a disco record to blow up at midfield. Over 50,000 fans showed up and the explosion left a crater at midfield, the fans rushed the field forcing the White Sox to forfeit the game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers held a 'Ball Night' where they gave away souvenir baseballs to fans as they entered the stadium. Then after a couple of controversial umpire calls and the ejection of then Dodgers' manager Tommy Lasorda, the fans pelted the field with the balls forcing the Dodgers to forfeit to the St. Louis Cardinals.

The infamous 10 cent beer night by the Cleveland Indians to boost attendance...what could go wrong? The Indians were playing the Texas Rangers whom they hated, combine that with thousands of drunk and rowdy fans and a full scale riot broke out in the 9th inning forcing players to defend themselves with bats and of course the game was forfeited.

This brings me to March 16, 2026 for the Atlanta Hawks vs the Orlando Magic on the promotional night the Hawks are calling 'Magic City Night'. Magic City is a popular strip club in Atlanta. There will be exclusive merchandise available like 'Peachtree themed hoodies' as well as rapper T.I. performing a halftime show, a pregame show by DJ Esco, and Magic City's chicken wings will be available.

If the NBA allows this they will be once again talking out of both sides of their mouth. Commissioner Adam Silver was just bragging about making the NBA more family friendly and now this. I'm sure they'll be some families in attendance on March 16th probably unaware of who and what the night is promoting. These families will probably be seated next to some scantily clad ladies and other staff from the strip club. I like when they try to advertise the event as promoting an entertainment venue...allegedly.

At least one NBA player isn't down with the promotion. San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet thinks this promotion will reflect poorly on the NBA. He feels that many women in the strip club industry experience abuse, harassment, and violence. I happen to agree with Luke but at last check on Ticketmaster, this game is pretty much soldout. While this promotion is questionable, the NBA does have gambling websites as partners so it in a weird way it makes sense. That being said, is the NBA family friendly or all about gambling and 'entertainment venues', someone tell the commissioner it can't be both.

NBA's anti-tanking rules go into effect next season

What is up! It feels good to be home. I hope everyone had a great February recess...my kids were off school the whole week. My son Dominic has been invited to his friend Gordon's birthday so I tell my wife you guys go ahead I'll hold down the fort. Then she tells me the party's at Dave and Buster's and my schedule sort of cleared up. Didn't know D&B were first grade friendly but apparently so.

Enough about my personal life I want to talk about tanking. It happens in all sports I'm sure, your team looks at how much schedule is left and realize they aren't going to make the playoffs and then it becomes a race to the bottom to try to secure that new draft pick. It's so obvious and prevalent in the NBA that it is truly pathetic and I blame the NBA more than any one team or player. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of blame to go around.

I blame the NBA the most because they didn't fix the problem a long time ago. I mean honestly, if you're the commissioner, how can you let it get to this point? My friends and associates tell me they don't watch the NBA at all. I wrote a report about this for another website a few years back about how the TV deals are great for the league but bad for the fans. The paying fan is no longer the No. 1 priority to the NBA, they make more money from the deals than the fans so that's who the NBA's loyalty is to and it's become apparent.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver informed the league's general managers on Thursday that the NBA will implement new anti-tanking rule changes next season. The following were topics discussed at the meeting:

First round draft picks can be protected only for top four or top 14 plus selections

Lottery odds freeze at the trade deadline or at a later date

No longer allowing a team to pick in the top four in consecutive years and/or after consecutive bottom three finishes

Teams can't pick in the top four the year after making the conference finals

Lottery odds allocated based on two year records

Lottery extended to include all play-in teams

Flatten odds for all lottery teams

These are the things discussed at the meeting so who knows what the NBA will actually implement to stop anti-tanking. I've been watching this documentary on the Corporatization of America in my spare time, a few minutes here and there, and if you take out the political spin it's a fascinating account of how corporations are running the country and the world. They in essence are who the politicians answer to and not the other way around. Also this began as early as the Industrial Revolution but in the 1980's it exploded which was another shocker because the documentary backs it up with details.

This all ties into the NBA and who's really influencing the decisions that are supposedly in the fans best interest. I don't know how Adam Silver can say that with a straight face when you need to search at least ten different platforms and channels to see the games you want and you could still run into a blackout. The NBA is making record profits but it's coming at the expense of their fans and Silver needs to understand that this is unsustainable. Talent needs fans to watch, if the fans stop watching the media rights deals go away. This may be years away but if nothing changes the outcome will be irrevocable.

Marquee injuries plague NBA All-Star game

Don't miss a thing! That's the official tagline of the 2025/26 NBA All-Star game. Too bad the All-Stars didn't get the memo, no Steph, no Giannis, no Shai. Cooper Flagg and Alex Sarr are going to miss the Rising Stars game also due to injuries. I do like watching Cooper Flagg play and watching his development in the game is fun but my boy Alex Sarr has been incredible.

Lets face it, dude plays for the Washington Wizards who are garbage...I'm sorry but it took the team nearly two months to get five wins and now that Trae Young and Anthony Davis are there? Still garbage until those two show me they can stay off the injured or questionable list. Alex Sarr is the one bright spot on that team, dude plays his heart out and his stats prove it. I love that he's ignoring instructions doesn't he know the Wizards are trying to tank the season...allegedly!

Speaking of tanking I would almost understand it if it wasn't so obvious that teams are throwing in the towel on the season to try to get a top draft pick. The Utah Jazz just got fined $500,000 and the Indiana Pacers just got fined $100,000, yes your defending Eastern Conference Champions got fined for tanking games smh...how are you in rebuild mode when you almost won it all last season?

I'm old enough to remember the Allen Iverson and the East vs Kobe Bryant and the West in what was probably the most exciting and definitely the best All-Star game in history. If you have a chance go on YouTube and check it out it's an instant classic.

Back to this year and the continuing problem the NBA is having with putting the best product on the court on a night after night basis. As much as I want to bring my family to All-Star weekend, I'm not spending money on a bunch of replacements, bench players, and alternates. At last check the NBA is still charging premium prices but why? Because they can...for now. The NBA has lost a ton of its audience and die hard fans will always show up and support but that fan base is dwindling too as you can see in the stands and ratings.

On paper team USA Stripes vs Team World looks like a fascinating match but when half of the guys are on crutches it loses the prestige and importance the NBA wants to purport. Also, Lebron James failed to make the All-Star team for the first time in two decades so is he still King James? I mean he does have a lot of records...I think he stopped being King James the first time he left Cleveland, I know he was a free agent but it was the way he left, he basically gave Cleveland the finger, you know like how the NBA has been giving the fans the finger pretty much this whole season.

Hey NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, if you're going to allow coaches to sit starters then stop charging fans full price, charge like $10 per ticket then I'd have nothing to say but as it stands the games are a rip off. It's like the WWE charging outrageous prices, don't get me started on them...they shouldn't charge more than the price of a movie ticket...why should I pay your actors more than the Hollywood ones?

Uptick in prostitution and human trafficking feared at Superbowl LX

Last week, my family took a little pre-winter escape and stayed at a nice Hilton hotel. My wife and kids we're in the pool everyday, they loved it and didn't want to leave. I finally jumped in the pool the last day of our stay and it was nice, I'm a little harder to impress. The best hotel I ever stayed at wasn't where you would expect. I've stayed in Las Vegas and my first visit I stayed at the Tropicana and it was nice but believe it or not, Detroit had the nicest hotel by far. This is before I met my wife and I was there for the WWE Royal Rumble I forget which year, but I stayed at the MGM Grand and was upgraded to an executive suite which had a fire place and Jacuzzi spa.

The reason I bring up my recent hotel stay is because no matter how nice the hotel may seem, inevitably I notice the dark reminder of the underworld dangers that are often in plain sight. Human trafficking signs aren't everywhere but they're noticeable. The 'if you see something say something' and call this 1-800 number on soap packages are the new reality. It's a positive in the fact that society is finally calling attention to something that's been going on since humanity existed but I don't remember even hearing or knowing about trafficking until a few years ago. No one wants to think about the horrors of what the young victims are going through but major events like the Superbowl maybe law enforcement's best shot at rescuing them.

When a major event comes to your city it can be a very profitable endeavor for the city and the event organizers. The bigger and more popular the event the more profit both sides make. It's also a win for the small business owners located near wherever the event is taking place as they'll benefit from visiting tourist. As positive as all of this sounds unfortunately there's a negative side to a large influx of visitors. The shady scumbag side of the city is also looking to make a profit from these events.

Human trafficking and prostitution arrest explode usually and this year the Santa Clara police aren't having any of it. Josh Singleton who is the commander of the Santa Clara County Human Trafficking Task Force said that they expect nearly 1.3 million visitors to the area for Superbowl 60. The majority of the tourist are coming to watch the game in bars and to score some merchandise and selfies. Levi's Stadium only holds about 68,000 people so Superbowl week is an event on its own.

Some of the visitors are going to be looking for other kinds of 'entertainment' and that's who Singleton and the police want to stop. Singleton said, "Come have a good time at the Superbowl. Don't engage in commercial sex because we're out in force and we're enforcing the laws!" So far the task force has arrested a high number of sex workers and pimps...also a major uptick in Johns, the people who patronize the services. It is through these arrest that the trafficked are often rescued. It's crazy to think that during all of the festivities and celebrations and Superbowl parties, something sinister is going on...the game is tonight and tonight I'm rooting for law enforcement.

Lakers player shoulder blocks Wizards mascot (Co-authored by my wife)

My wife and I had an early date night and went to see Shelter with Jason Statham. We're both fans of his action movies and I loved the action sequences...just wish there were more but I understand, dude is getting up there in age. It's like Sylvester Stallone movies, dude's in his 80's now...I know Rocky's not lacing up his gloves anymore...although he might do another Rambo, I wouldn't put it past him.

My wife's take on the movie is:

"Awesome!" on if she liked it.

"It starts slow and has some dragging moments" on what she didn't like.

"Loved the fighting and techno music towards the end of the movie."

We enjoyed it...I know it's the middle of the week and a school night, but aside from another couple, we had the entire movie theater to ourselves. Where we live we have a new Apple theater we wanted to check out...they just built this place and our theater was basically empty...not good. It isn't the movies it's the industry and that's a different topic all together.

Superbowl 60 is just around the corner but the NFL isn't what I want to talk about. Nope, what I'm writing about involves your Los Angeles Lakers. There is so much drama going on with the purple and gold and for once it doesn't involve LeBron James. It's not even about the family feud going on between Jeanie Buss and her siblings, you know, the ones she fired from the organization.

Every family has members who don't like or associate with each other but they usually stop short of firing each other or telling each other they wish they hadn't been born which is what Jeanie said to her younger brother...allegedly!

No, this is about Lakers center Jaxson Hayes going WWE on the Wizards' mascot. The Wizards' mascot G-Wiz, was waving a giant Wizards flag and running off the court and when the mascot got towards the Lakers bench Hayes' shoulder blocked him into some dancers.

The NBA rewarded him with a one game suspension for his efforts. This right here is why coaches go gray prematurely and why their blood pressure is through the roof. It's because supposed world class athletes go bonehead with little to no reason. The Lakers are going to need this guy against the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid...if he plays. Anything to get LeBron and Jeanie out of the headlines errrr I mean, maybe LeBron will trip a referee or fall on a Hollywood A-lister for an encore...it's just as insane as what happened here.

Green Bay Packers player arrested at airport with gun

A lot of things have happened since my last report. Indiana's storybook ending came true as they defeated the Miami Hurricanes in their backyard pretty much...to win the National Championship. The turn around that Indiana just pulled off is the stuff of movies I mean it's incredible. They were pretty much irrelevant for decades and now they're National Champions...congratulations!

Not much has changed in the WNBA, the players are still turning down record breaking money for the ladies because they want revenue sharing like the NBA players get. What a mess! They have a huge media rights deal next year that's going to bring in $200 million a year for 11 years. This is good news but the ladies feel they're being short-changed in the new contract proposal. Remember, that deal doesn't kick in until next year, they still need to play this upcoming season. The schedule has come out for the new season but the players and owners don't seem to be budging.

From the owner's side of things, these guys haven't see a profit since the WNBA begin operations in 1996. So the owners are like 'we haven't made a dime off of you guys and now you want a part of the media rights? Easy ladies...not so fast. Here take this $500,000 to $1.3 million contract which by the way is five times what the players currently get. The players are like nah we're going to risk it all...wow good luck! Holding out for the big payday almost never works. The players have the most to lose because they're betting the league in essence. But are the owners really going to let go of $2 billion when they never made a profit? We'll see I guess.

Meanwhile the NFL is in the headlines and it's not about the playoffs. Nope, it's about another player going Wild Wild West in the airport. Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Rasheed Walker is the latest player trying to bring heat on a plane. Dude had a firearm and ammuniton in a bag that he voluntarily checked at LaGuardia in New York City, of all places to try something like this.

It went how you thought it would go...dude was arrested and booked on two counts of second degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminal possession of a firearm. He appeared in Queens court and released without bail.

Walker's attorney said his client mistakenly believed he could travel with his gun...Who does he think he is Jason Bourne? Dudes firearms are registered in Wisconsin not NY so they had to arrest him and his lawyer is confident NY will drop the case. So it was an error in judgement, hey we all make mistakes but ignorance is not a legal defense especially when it comes to packing heat at an airport.

The AFC and NFC Championship games are set...

Well, the NFL Division round is over and we have our AFC and NFC championships games all set. Just like the wild card round there was some surprises and some things I figured were going to happen. My last report I wrote about Bills vs Broncos and the fumbles, interceptions, and alleged blown calls by the referees that ultimately got the Bills head coach whacked.

I wrote a little about the 49ers vs Seahawks game. What I didn't write about was how the 49ers pregame antics might have done more harm than good. San Francisco's out there dancing and celebrating...maybe it was some sort of pregame ritual, maybe it was to show Seattle that they weren't scared and were ready to battle, all I know is it was stupid. Seattle torched the 49ers 41-6...49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan didn't look like he was ready to party after the game.

The Patriots defeated the Texans 28-16. Houston had probably the best defense all year but I knew they would struggle in Foxborough in January...everybody does. That game looked cold on tv, I've been to Boston in January for the Royal Rumble...this is when my wife and I first started dating...to describe the temperature as cold doesn't do it justice, it felt like I was on Pluto. At those extreme temps you're not thinking about the next play, you're thinking about how long before I'm in the locker room slamming some hot cocoa. How else do you explain CJ Stroud forgetting how to be a quarterback?

The Los Angeles Rams at the Chicago Bears was umm interesting I would say. Matthew Stafford and the Rams won in spite of themselves. I mean Stafford didn't throw a touchdown for the first time in 19 games. Chicago and their QB Caleb Williams did throw 2 touchdowns but he also had 3 interceptions. This game came down to who would make the fewest mistakes and the Rams won in overtime.

So we get the Rams vs Seahawks...again...this time for the NFC Championship, and the Patriots vs the Broncos for the AFC Championship. Post season experience is how I would bet at the sportsbooks and that means the Los Angeles Rams vs New England Patriots in the Superbowl if I had to pick...that being said, Seattle and Denver are the hot teams which is why they're both ranked No.1

Bills lose heartbreaker to the Broncos in overtime

Hey everyone I'm back from my refreshing vacation and a lot has happened since my last post. Well to be honest I wasn't on vacation, I'm in this new training program and it is intense. Why am I doing this? Money! Specifically more money a lot more. I haven't studied this hard since I was in college but this is well worth it. Despite my personal life being so busy one thing I didn't forget about was the NFL Divisional round playoffs.

I will say the Bills vs Broncos game was a thriller and not a classic. A classic implies a nearly perfect game on both sides of the field and this game was far from perfect. Way too many turnovers and injuries for me and probably the coaches. I told you in my last report that some of my friends are diehard Bills fans...they live for the team and die for the team...each and every year. The Buffalo Bills team has the heart of a champion. I felt so bad for Josh Allen and my friends as soon as the game was over.

You can have all the heart in the world but you must be consistent. Your heart and determination must always show. Personally, I didn't bet against the Bills, but if you saw me in the week leading up to the game I was saying I wouldn't bet against Sean Payton and the Broncos at home. The Bills damn near pulled it off but inconsistency did them in once again.

I thought what happened in this game would've happened in the Jaguars game. The Jaguars played a playoff game at home because they were so good at disrupting offenses all year but the Bills played a brilliant game against them. That brilliance disappeared against the Broncos. Some of it was the Broncos defense but a lot of it was on the Bills with their numerous turnovers. You can not give a number one seeded team that many extra chances at home.

Superman is human...Josh Allen is known for putting the team on his back and dragging them into glory. The Bills show flashes of being a great team...sometimes. Other times they look lost and get exposed by some pretty awful teams like what happened in the regular season. As great as Josh plays and as much heart as this team has they'll never win let alone reach a Superbowl unless they're consistent. You don't have to win every game but you should look like a cohesive team every game because if you're not you're going to lose to a better team every year.

As for the Broncos, their win cost them their quarterback. It was announced that Bo Nix broke his ankle so Denver gets to play the AFC Championship game with a backup QB. It's not impossible to win, the Philadelphia Eagles won a Superbowl with Nick Foles as QB and dude was a backup...that Eagles team was stacked though.

Another January another post season exit for the Bills and my friends know I like the Miami Dolphins but I'm far from a diehard fan. I'll be a diehard Dolphins fan again when they start to play like they give a damn about the game. Still, I'm getting...'The Bills are better than the Dolphins', 'How many wins do you guys have?'

Again, Miami's coach got whacked, we have a QB that's seconds away from a concussion protocol, half the roster is injured or suspended. These are just some of the things stopping the Dolphins from reaching the post season or a winning record. The Bills have the talent to make it to the Superbowl, to go on the road and win in the playoffs. As much talent as they have it does not mix with inconsistency. Inconsistent WR's, inconsistent defense, inconsistent offense, head scratching coaching decisions...I said it in my last post...the Buffalo Bills are they're own worst enemy and until they're consistent they'll never win it all.

Oh yeah, the Seattle Seahawks totally demolished the San Francisco 49ers 41-6. I understand 49ers QB Brock Purdy wasn't 100%....maybe start Mac Jones? What do I know...probably would've scored more than six points though.

Buffalo Bills selling urinals from old stadium

The Buffalo Bills have a pretty big game tomorrow against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL playoffs. I know a lot of die hard Bills fans and they sound like Cowboys fans when it comes to the playoffs, 'nothing is going to stop us this year', 'you'll see', 'there's no one in our way this year'. To that I'll say, there's always one opponent you have to be aware of and in this case it's the Bills. This regular season they have been their own worst enemy.

One example is when the Bills traveled to Miami and lost to the lowly Dolphins. The Dolphins were a dumpster fire this season, so much so they got their head coach Mike McDaniel and his khaki pants fired but they beat the Bills. Another example is when the Atlanta Falcons, who fired their head coach and their general manager this year, beat the Bills...this is despite the Falcons being shut out 30-0 by the Carolina Panthers earlier this season. Bottomline Bills fans, take the playoffs one game at a time, if you win celebrate, drink and be merry and say to yourself 'that's one!' Good luck tomorrow!

The Bills have played their last game at Highmark Stadium and are moving across the street to the new stadium which will also be called Highmark. When a stadium or an arena or any sporting place that has some historical place in culture closes, some of the venue's items are going to be auctioned off. Collectors and degenerates errrr I mean resellers from around the world will be online waiting to get their hands on some of the items from the old Highmark.

The Bills have partnered with Collectible Xchange to sell the items to the public. All of the traditional items you would expect are going to be auctioned off. Seats, pieces of turf, even pieces of goal posts are all up for grabs. Another item up for grabs are the bathroom urinals and troughs!

According to Brandon Steinner, "People want those troughs. They want that kind of stuff, so we'll make that available...your talking about Buffalo, and people take a lot of pride in the stadium."

Hey Brandon what the hell are you talking about? I understand pride in the stadium...it's 53 years old. People probably have childhood memories of going to the games with loved ones and some seats would be cool and nostalgic. Where you lose me is trying to convice me that urinals are nostalgic.

I've been to plenty of sporting events as a kid and Disney on Ice with my mom as a kid. When I had to use the bathroom I never thought 'wow this urinal would look so cool in my room.' Or as a man say to myself 'You know what this mancave really needs? A freaking urinal would be awesome!

No, if anything it was the exact opposite. I remember how disgusting the men's bathrooms were...overcrowded, filthy, half of them so gross you couldn't use them...I'm sorry, there isn't enough sanitation or cleaning materials you could hit those things with that would make me bring that into my house. To each his own I guess. Anyone I know personally thinking about throwing one of these in your mancaves...never invite me again and any future events at your home I will have to regretfully decline.

Former Carolina Panthers player suing ex-wife for exposing his private parts

Well, I guess I spoke to soon when I did a report about NFL coaches and their heads rolling because more of them got fired today including Ravens head coach Jon Harbaugh. Dude was the head coach of the Ravens for years! The Ravens did suffer a heartbreaking loss to end their season when their kicker missed the game winning field goal. Two days later you whack the head coach? Seems like an overreaction until you realize the Ravens did have a roller coaster season and the coach was getting criticized all year for not getting the ball to RB Derrick Henry enough...wow, I'm shocked. I put dude in my last blog because I assumed he was untouchable...I mean 18 years!

Well this report isn't about the Baltimore Ravens, its about the Carolina Panthers. Specifically, former player Matt Kalil and his ex-wife. Kalil's ex-wife Haley Baylee appeared in streamer Marlon Garcia's video making shocking claims about the former NFLer's penis size and how it was the cause for the end of their marriage.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday Kalil said, Haley's "invasive commentary" on the video ruined his attempt to stay out of the public eye after retiring from football. Kalil said what Haley said in the video "implied that the size of Plantiff's genitalia was a primary factor in the parties' divorce and claimed that sexual intercourse with Plantiff would leave her 'in tears."

The ex-wife wasn't done...also on the video she described Kalil's genitalia as "two coke cans, maybe even a third."

Kalil's said because of those remarks new wife Keilani Asmus started receiving messages that became "increasingly frequent, disturbing, and alarming in nature over time." Kalil said because of his ex-wife's remarks he received unwanted attention and invasive commentary from the public. There is an adult webcam site that offered Kalil $300,000 to appear on their website.

Daryn Parker who is the Vice President of the adult website said, "We would like to offer you a $300,000 partnership to front our 'Big Confidence' campaign."

Hey Daryn! Didn't you hear what Kalil said? Dude just wanted to ride off into the sunset after his career. According to reports, his ex-wife Haley said that she wasn't expecting that one part of the interview to blow up. That's rich! The story has all three elements to go viral...sex, lies, and videotape...allegedly! Kalil is seeking a jury trial and damages.

End of NFL regular season means heads are going to roll for some teams

The Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers put on an absolute classic in a battle for the AFC North and the last remaining playoff spot. In the last two weeks the Ravens did everything they could to make the playoffs and the Steelers did the exact opposite. Pittsburgh tried their best to give away the AFC North on multiple occasions. Remember that Steelers kicker Chris Boswell missed an extra point towards the end of the game that would have given the Steelers a three point lead. It was the Ravens kicker Tyler Loop who missed the game winning field goal as time expired sending Pittsburgh into the Wild Card game. That game ended on two missed field goals in a row.

As stunned as Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are at last check head coach John Harbaugh still has his job. That can't be said for now former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll. Carroll and his Bubble Yum will be gone from the Raiders sidelines after one season.

The Atlanta Falcons decided to clean house as they fired both the head coach and the general manager. Coach Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot both got the ax after the Falcons 19-17 win over the New Orleans Saints. Falcons owner Arthur Blank issued a statement, "The decision to move away from people who represent the organization so well and have a shared commitment to the values that are important to the organization is not an easy one, but the results on the field have not met our expectations or those of our fans and leadership. I wish Raheem and Terry the absolute best in their future pursuits."

In other words, I'm not paying you guys all of this money to keep finishing below .500...if you don't want to be 'future pursuited' get me a winning season.

This morning Cleveland decided to get rid of their head coach. The Browns fired Kevin Stefanski after six seasons. Jimmy and Dee Haslam, the owners of the Browns, said about Stefanski, "We appreciate all his hard work and dedication to our organization but our results over the last two seasons have not been satisfactory, and we believe a change at the head coaching position is necessary."

What do you mean the last two seasons? The Browns have been awful since before the expansion in 1999. I'm noticing a pattern here, if you lose more games than you win in multiple seasons, we have to future pursuit you.

That being said, how the hell does NY Giants GM Joe Schoen still have his gig? The Giants finished 4-13 this season and former head coach Brian Daboll got whacked before the season was finished. Daboll was fired for trying to get rookie QB Jaxson Dart killed this season by running him out there concussed and banged up...allegedly...and Schoen infamously overpaid Daniel Jones to keep him and ran off RB Saquon Barkley who then got traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and had a 2000 yard season on the way to a SuperBowl win...Oops! Then again there's a worse general manager that I can think of in Dallas but since he's also the owner I don't see him firing himself anytime soon.

2025 College Football Playoffs: Quarterfinals

So far the second annual NCAA college football playoffs in it's current 12 team state is doing everything a playoff should do. It's producing instant classics as well as upsets and surprises. For way too long the NCAA fought like hell to keep the Bowl Championship Series because for them it was basically a cash grab errrr I mean a way to culminate the season. However, every other legitimate sport's season culminates with a playoff and a National Championship. The BCS did that but it was usually decided behind closed doors and the smaller conferences had basically no shot to get into the title game...this format is so much better. Let teams play the game to decide the National Championship...what a concept!

We have reached the Final Four or the semifinals as they're calling it. Oregon vs Indiana and Ole Miss vs Miami. Each team had their own journey to get to the final four.

No. 5 Oregon: Did not have a bye in this tournament. They had to beat No. 12 James Madison and No. 4 Texas Tech to reach the semifinals.

No. 6 Ole Miss: Did not have a bye in this tournament. They had to beat No. 11 Tulane and No. 3 Georgia

No. 10 Miami: Did not have a bye in this tournament. They had to beat No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 2 Ohio State

No. 1 Indiana Did have a bye in this tournament...They had to beat No. 9 Alabama to reach the semifinals...

I didn't mention the other teams that did have a bye...Texas Tech, Georgia, and Ohio State. I did a report a long time ago about how I think the bye hurts a team more than it helps. I mean sure the injured players can rest up and have an extra week to get healthy, but the bye totally kills any momentum you have as a team on a winning streak or just playing in general.

Miami vs Ohio State was a great game despite Miami jumping out to a 14 point lead in the game. You just knew Ohio State was going to try to mount a comeback...they're way too good not too, but Miami held on and handed a stunned Ohio State team it's second loss of the season and eliminated last year's National Champion.

Ole Miss and Georgia played an absolute classic. A back and forth battle that resulted in a 39-34 win for Ole Miss.

The other two games were not evenly matched it seems...Oregon shut out Texas Tech 23-0 and Indiana almost shut out Alabama 38-3.

See, this is what I mean when I say the bye week is overrated. This is probably why in the NFL the Philadelphia Eagles choked away the No. 2 seed with a loss this afternoon to the Washington Commanders...now they'll have to face the 49ers next week but at least they'll have momentum!

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson fires back at critics

Welcome to 2026 guys! Can you believe it? I love Christmas and I love New Year's Day but I'm glad it's over. Now we can talk about the final week of the NFL regular season. Week 18 is going to bring some must watch matchups like Seahawks v 49ers, Panthers vs Bucs and the game I'm looking forward to the most, Ravens v Steelers. That game will decide the AFC North because the Ravens took care of business last week against the Packers and the Steelers choked errrr I mean let a 3-12 Browns team defeat them. I know, any given Sunday each team has the potential to defeat the other no matter the record. Most of the games are meaningless unless you're a gambler.

When the Ravens defeated the Packers last week they used their backup QB Tyler Huntley who played incredibly. However, the Ravens plan on using Lamar Jackson for the Steelers game. Lamar has had his share of injuries this season but it's his willingness to play for the Ravens that was being called into question.

A recent report claimed Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had grown tired of QB Lamar Jackson because he allegedly fell asleep in team meetings and developed a reputation for playing video games late into the night.

When asked if he wanted to stay with the Ravens Jackson said, "Absolutely, man...absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, I don't even know where that comes from."

Lamar also insisted he doesn't play video games late into the evening even during summer months. He also denied falling asleep in team meetings..."Do you think Harbaugh would let me fall asleep in his meeting? That's crazy. I'm right in the front. I don't know, man. It is what it is though."

When asked why he couldn't play against Green Bay Jackson said, "Someone probably thinks I'm a robot, but I'm a human being too. Unfortunately, I couldn't avoid that injury when it happened. I don't really care about the criticism. It's going to be that way, especially with how the season was going and stuff like that. When you're winning, there's no noise, but as soon as you lose, or things don't look right, all types of noise come out of nowhere, so it is what it is."

The Ravens are currently a -3.5 point favorite on the road against the Steelers. Lamar had a lot to say and I do believe him about the injuries I mean when you're injured there's nothing you can do but people don't usually come forward with an anonymous tip to lie on you. As far as not knowing where the news came from, obviously Ravens staff errrr I mean allegedly someone in the Ravens organization.

I'm just thankful for football, college and the pros otherwise...on the nights with no football I have to watch FBI Most Wanted which is my wife's new go to show, it's similar to Criminal Minds which I also barely watched. I'll write about what went down in the college football playoffs in my next blog...

NBA team's strip club night draws controversy

Professional sports teams throw promotions all the time. Some are innocent, some are stupid, and some are controversial. Remember last year...
